The 2011 California Avocado Festival Poster Design Winner!

Kwitt
Graphic designer Kristyn Whittenton has always loved avocados but never expected to translate a favorite food into a winning poster design. The California Avocado Festival changed all that. Whittenton, who holds associates in science degree in graphics from Moorpark College, based her poster design on Carpinteria’s love of the avocado and the excitement generated over the 25th anniversary of the annual festival. As the graphic designer for Coastal View News, Whittenton has come to understand Carpinteria’s profound connection to avocados and the avocado industry. She looks forward to bringing her husband and two children to this year’s celebration of all things avo.
